If you are thinking in come to Peru and do one of the most famous an unforgettable treks in southamerica as it is the Inca trail, definitely there are some conditions that you need to know about the availability.
The Inca Trail is closed in February for maintenance, so this month is not available.
The availability applies to the Inca Trail itself and not to our Agency. So we please take in consideration that any agency you choose, they all have the same availability. Therefore, it is necessary to contact another Agency if the day you want is not available.
A lot of space available does not mean at all that “there is enough time”. Some agencies group their requests and it is not unusual to see 30 spaces go away in only 5 minutes.
The spaces provided on this page are for the start date (day 1) Trek 2 days or 4 days, no matter what the other days are full or out of season. For simplicity, you can start your trek any day marked in green.
Availability is controlled by the Ministry of Culture of Peru. Only they are able to control and authorize access to the Inca Trail.
According to the current regulations (Resolution n º 02-2003-UGM-CD), access to the Inca Trail is limited to 500 people per day, including staff. For this reason, the number of available spaces on this page corresponds to spaces for trekkers, approximately 40% of the total amount (approximately 60% corresponds to personnal).
